First Announcement


Conference Overview

The 32nd International Conference on High Energy Physics will follow the tradition of the Rochester Conference Series, of which the last one was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Participation in the Conference is by invitation only. Invitations will be extended to researchers recommended by the country coordinators nominated by the IUPAP. All efforts will be made to have all the interested physicists and persons participate in this conference.

The program of ICHEP'04 will as usual feature plenary talks covering topics of major interest to the world high energy physics community and parallel sessions consisting of talks about recent research results and future plans. The plenary and the parallel will be equally arranged with respect to the time length, three days for each with one day for break.

  • Proceedings will be published. Now we are in contact with the publishers.
  • As we are now in contact with the publishers, instructions for paper submission will be given once the publisher is chosen.

Financial Support

A limited amount of financial support will be available for students and for those who come from the developing countries.

Support will mainly cover the local staying expenses, a very limited amount of support will also cover international travel.

Participants interested in applying for the support should request and select "Yes" in your registration. The Organizing Committee will consider your request in due time, and if granted, a written approval in the form of an e-mail will be given to you and must be shown at on-site registration.

Post-conference tours

Line 1 Travel to the roof of the world - Tibet

Line 1 will take 7 days starting from 23 August to 29, 2004. The route will be Chengdu in Sichuan Province and Lhasa, Gyangze, Xigaze in Tibet.

Based on the above time length and itinerary, the reference quotation is as follows:
